Build your RC Plane which is aerodynamically sound and within the specified dimensions to achieve a successful flight. The RC plane should be able to take off, land and can-do maneuvers. The competition has 3 Rounds i.e. two elimination rounds and the final round. Performance of the RC Plane in all the Rounds/Arena will be evaluated individually. Team Scoring the maximum points in the final round will be nominated as the Winner of the competition.

  • 500+ Teams participating in Robo Soccer Challenge.
  • All participants will get certification of Participation from “Council for Robotics & Automation(AICRA)” . Team Coach will get separate certificate.
  • The field area would be approx. 2500m2.
  • The Competition is divided into 3 rounds of evaluation.
  • Each Round will have its own set of checkpoints and hurdles.

Dimensions

  • The RC Plane dimensions should not exceed the following: Wingspan 150 cm, Max. weight should be less than or equal to 3kgs (including battery and other onboard components).
  • Competitors are free to use any RC Plane material and any BLDC Motors, Electronic Speed Controllers, Propellers, Batteries etc.
  • Readymade toy RC plane kits are strictly prohibited.
  • Construction: Design and construction of the RC plane should be primarily the original work of the team and must justify the dimensions parameters for the competition.

Hardware Description:

  • BLDC Motors (any rating)
  • ESC units
  • Propellers
  • Radio devices
  • Landing gears
  • Wingspan
  • The field area would be approx. 2500m2.
  • The Competition is divided into 3 rounds of evaluation.
  • Each Round will have its own set of checkpoints and hurdles.

Pre-Game setup:

  • Competitors are supposed to report 5 mins prior to the commencement of the game failing to which will risk disqualification.
  • The RC Plane will be evaluated on various parameters such as design, construction, and innovation.
  • Every aspect of the RC plane will be observed for scoring which includes the connection of various parts, fixing of components, materials used, aeromodelling etc.

Game Clock:
Game clock starts as soon as the referee commands the beginning of the round and stops as soon as the maximum access time (5 Minutes) of that round elapses.

Run Time:
Run time starts as soon as the game clock starts and stops when the plane lands successfully.

Flight time:

  • The flight time will be the official time taken by each RC plane.
  • It will be calculated by the given equation.
    Flight time= (Total Access time for the round) – (Run time)

Team Members & Mentors:

  • Minimum 2 members and maximum 10 members are allowed in each participating team. Multiple teams from same school/college can participate in the competition.
  • Different Teams from the same school/college must use their own individual RC plane for the competition.
  • It’s not mandatory to have coach for each team but a team can have a coach (only one) from the school or outside as a technical advisor
  • The coach will be seated in a supervisory position around the competition area and is not allowed to touch or repair the RC plane during the competition.
  • In case of the coach interference with the RC Plane or referee’s decisions during the competition, the team will risk disqualification.
  • The RC plane should follow the robot specifications provided. Any deviation from the mentioned specifications will lead to disqualification

Fair Play:

  • RC plane that cause deliberate interference with other planes or damage to the field will be disqualified.
  • Team Members who cause deliberate interference with RC plane or damage to the field will be disqualified.
  • It is expected that the aim of all teams is to play a fair and clean game.

Behavior:

  • Participants who misbehave may be asked to leave the competition area and risk being disqualified from the contest.
  • The rules will be enforced at the discretion of the referees, officials, and local law enforcement authorities.

Organizing Committee:

  • The organizing Committee is a union that consists of few communities and associations. The organizers of this competition are Times Group & Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA).
  • All decisions about scoring, game play and timing are made by the juries. Teams should completely respect their vote and decisions. Members of the jury will be from different fields of the robotic science.
