ABOUT DELHI

Located in Northern India, Delhi which is also known as the National Capital Territory of India, is a union territory. The NCT and its urban region are designated with the special status of National Capital Region (NCR) under the Constitution of India’s 69th amendment act of 1991.
The neighboring cities like Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad and Greater Noida together form the NCR. People come to visit Delhi for its rich ancient history and popular tourist attractions like India Gate, Jantar Mantar, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, Jama Masjid and World Heritage Sites like Red Fort, Qutab Minar and Humayuns Tomb.

New Delhi, India’s capital is sprinkled with glittering gems: captivating ancient monuments, magnificent museums, a vivacious performing-arts scene and some of the subcontinent’s yummiest places to eat. Delhi encapsulates two very different worlds, the old and the new and visitors can easily dip into both,
spending half the day immersing themselves in history at the dramatic Red Fort, Jama Masjid and medieval-flavored bazaars of Old Delhi, and the other half reviving themselves over frothy cappuccinos or frosty cocktails at one of New Delhi’s swanky cafes and restaurants.

DELHI-NCR WEATHER

Being one of the popular historical cities in India as well as the capital city in India, New Delhi is frequented by tourists and corporate travellers.

The most pleasant time to visit is November to mid-February when maximum day temperatures average 72oF (22.2oC). The monsoon hits Delhi from around mid-to-late June, with the heaviest rainfall in July and August, diminishing through September. May and June are uncomfortably hot with average maximum temperatures of 100.4oF (38oC).
Summers start in early April and peak in May, with average temperatures near 32 *C (90 *F), although occasional heat waves can result in highs close to 45 *C (114 *F) on some days and therefore higher apparent temperature.
